Contact Improvisation, invented by Steve Paxton and others in 1972, is essentially a duet dance form, sometimes referred to as an art/sport. It uses the physical laws of motion (weight, inertia, momentum and gravity) to explore the relationship between the dancers covering a spectrum of high energy and stillness and everything in between.
These sessions will take place: at the Bluecoat Performance Space, School Lane, Liverpool, L1 3BX www.thebluecoat.org.uk
